Good Faith Estimate

Pinnacle Counseling and Testing Center is a private pay practice. We believe you should know what care will cost before you commit to it, with no surprises later.

Your right to an estimate

Under federal law, patients who are uninsured or who are not using insurance have the right to receive a written estimate of expected charges before scheduled services. This applies to psychological testing, evaluations, and counseling.

What you receive

  • A written estimate listing the services expected and the cost of each
  • The estimate provided before your scheduled appointment
  • An itemized superbill after service, which you may submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement

How to request one

You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate at any point before scheduling, and we will provide one in writing. Just call, text, or email us.

If your final bill is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge. You may also contact us directly, and we will work with you to resolve it.

Questions about cost, scheduling, or what an evaluation involves? We are glad to talk it through before you book anything.
